Composite Restorations - Mercury Free

When teeth have cavities or are fractured, they may need to be restored with a filling. There are two types of fillings composite and amalgam. Composite is a natural looking resin and bonds to the tooth. Amalgam is silver in color, less expensive, can be unattractive and despite the silver color contains elemental mercury.
